It Takes But One.

He walked with his head down, guarding himself from the cruel world. He never said much and kept to himself. Quiet, content, an outkast at that. He did not want to remove the mask and stand barefaced before the world. Afraid he'd be judged and laughed at too, he kept it a secret and lived right on through.
Short days at school meant long days at home.. for home was hell and corruption was there. Hiding the evidence with his clothes he could not escape the torment and damage. Did his father not love him? Or was it the addict?
She saw him walking through the park one day.. Who were his friends? Why did he act that way? She decided to talk to him and figure him out. After many months of mingling about, they did become friends.. best friends at that. As she found out more about him their friendship grew stronger. They would meet at the benches and talk for a while. They made this a daily routine to converse before dinner.
One day she looked at him with eager eyes and asked, "why me?" he held her hand and whispered in her ear, "because you saw me when I was invisible."
Several weeks later she sat alone at the park. She came to find out he was no longer here. She went to his grave where she sat for a while. There she prayed for forgiveness.. then went on with life. She carries him in her heart and always remembers the boy from the park.

Seasons Greetings :)

Christmas. :) the best holiday of them all. During this time of the year I think that all of us should have a special place in our heart for your family, friends, and loved ones. Find joy in spending time with them. Let them know how much they really mean to you. Be thankful of what you have, don't only think about the things you want or need, and be willing to give. Also, this year I have decided that I am going to try and be as selfless as I ever have been. Everyday I am going to do atleast one thing, one meaningful thing, for someone else. I am not just talking about saying hi to someone in the hall at school or letting someone go at a stop sign even though you have the right of way... I'm talking about one thing that will truly change something in a persons day. It doesn't have to be big and elaborate, just thoughtful. So this holiday season, I am going to make a difference!!
